Enrichment and Personal Development
At Courthill, we understand that we have a responsibility to support our children’s personal development as much as their academic development. Our curriculum provides children with the opportunities for broader development where we can foster their interests and tales. Through our values, we instil resilience; confidence and independence, which supports their ability, stay physically and mentally healthy. Our growth mindset ethos prepares children for future success as well as times where things may not feel as easy. We believe that the foundations we set here at Courthill, prepare children to be respectful and active citizens who contribute positively to our society.
How do we do this?
- Timetabled enrichment sessions – planned using our topics and our children’s interests
- Fun Fit Friday – four weekly timetable to expose children to a wide range of physical activities
- Enrichment weeks – planned to give children a wide range of experiences
- 25 Things To Do Before Leaving Courthill – completed throughout their 3 years at Courthill
- Each subject leader plans for additional opportunities within their subject
- Assemblies – planned to include key events in the year as well as celebrate different cultures, also planned to support Courthill’s learning values
